Leadership ISD Forum: Why are school boards important?

Tanglewood Elementary School, Fort Worth TX

Hello Community Leader, You are being invited to participate in Leadership ISD’s Community Conversations, focused on providing information and involvement options for upcoming local elections. Leadership ISD is a policy-focused initiative that advocates for equity in education. The upcoming School Board Elections are an excellent way to make a difference in the lives of children and the community as a whole.

Our first meeting with be Thursday, February 21st and we will be examining why school board elections are important. This election is particularly important as no incumbent is running for the District 5 School Board seat. We will be hosting Erika Beltran, a native of Fort Worth, an education advocate, and a previous State Board of Education Member. We hope that you will attend all four of these monthly Community Conversation events and will be offering other ways to get involved in the elections if you are interested. Get your ticket HERE so we can plan refreshments accordingly. We look forward to seeing you!
