Frequently Asked Questions

Tell me about auction! Do I need a ticket?

The Tanglewood Auction is our largest, most anticipated fundraiser where we seek to raise over 80% of our annual goal. It will be held on March 1, 2024 at the Fort Worth Zoo. The auction is a great opportunity to get to know other Tanglewood parents and community members in a relaxed atmosphere. This fun party includes dinner, live music, dancing, a raffle, live & silent auctions, and so much fun! Yes, you must have a ticket to attend or purchase items online. Click Here to Purchase a table for ten people. Individual tickets will go on sale January 26th.

I can’t attend the auction in person. Will I still be able to bid on items and parties?

Yes, you may purchase a party pass which provides digital access to all items (excluding the live auction) in real time with in-person attendees. Party passes (on sale January 26th) may by purchased under the “Tickets and Table Sales” tab on the main auction page.

What items are available for purchase and how do I do it?

The Tanglewood auction features many great items to purchase through the live and silent auctions, including class art, school experiences, parent parties, amazing trips, local experiences, and more! All bidding will be online via our mobile bidding system, OneCause. Ticket and party pass holders will be texted a link from OneCause that will be used for all purchases.

I’ve heard about Tanglewood’s legendary parent and kid parties. What are they and how do I attend?

Parent parties are a fun and wonderful way to meet other Tanglewood students and their families. A group of Tanglewood families host a party together (organize, execute, and pay for). In turn, all ticket and party passes may purchase admission via the auction bidding system as a donation to the school. Many parties sell out quickly!

Kid Parties- Fun themed parties that are often grouped by incoming grade level and gender. Most are hosted in the weeks leading up to school in August or after the start of the school year. (Example: Incoming Kinder girls art party at Art & Soul)

Parent Parties- Themed parties for Tanglewood parents that are grouped by incoming grade level or for the whole school! Parents night out! (Examples: Incoming Kinder parents party at Joe T’s, Moms Bingo Night)

Any other important event details I should know?

Exercise honest bidding. Please do not purchase items on behalf of others. We have several avenues to purchase items, including an absent party pass if you are unable to attend the auction. The system will flag and void irregular purchases. Repeat violators are subject to system removal without refund.

Bid wisely! Unfortunately, there are no refunds, returns, or transfers.

Helpful hint! Automatic bidding is the easiest way to bid on most items. Simply enter the highest price you’re willing to pay for an item, and OneCause will do the rest. OneCause will bid in increments on your behalf to keep you in the lead but only up to your limit. If you are outbid, you will receive an alert and can then decide if you want to increase your limit.
